STEVE DIVER

Guitar, Vocal

A hardened musician with many years experience behind him, Steve has been described as sitting somewhere between Chris Isaak and Buddy Holly.

The release of his first single with London based band "The Poorboys", Move Baby Move, by Rhythm & Blues Label Ace Records lead by entrepreneur Ted Carrol was the stepping stone to a period of success in the USA. This was followed by two further albums in 1987/1988. Some of these tracks are still available on Ace compilation CDs.

Other members of the band went on to play with MORRISEY. Supremo BOZ BOORDER went on to release many other tracks on his own label. These may be obtained from his stall in Camden lock from the USA he chose to take a degree, A production of GREASE led to an introduction to music men DAVE PATRICK and SIMON BURGES.

Steve has recorded several tracks for the Well. Never Gonna Let You Down was recorded for Above & Beyond CD in March 95' and the upbeat "Don't Waste My Time" features on VISION. Steve has assured us that he has "plenty more songs like these up his sleeve".
